Belfast City Airport is now accepting applications for its Community Fund, inviting community groups, charities, schools, and local organisations across Greater Belfast, Ards, and North Down to apply for financial support.
The Community Fund, which has provided over £700,000 to 237 projects since its inception, is designed to benefit groups that create meaningful change for the local community.
Amy Herdman, Belfast City Airport Community Fund Ambassador, said:
“At Belfast City Airport, our ties to the community around us are deep-rooted, and we are dedicated to delivering lasting support that meets the needs of our neighbours in a tangible way.
“Each time we open the Community Fund, we are reminded of the energy, creativity, and compassion shown by local groups, and we’re delighted to play our part in helping their work go further.”
With a focus on the environment, sustainability, biodiversity, STEM-related skills, education, social inclusion, health and wellbeing, and sports, recent beneficiaries of the Community Fund include Redeeming Our Communities’ school uniform project, which enabled the charity to introduce stationery packs for the first time, and Kids Together Belfast’s ‘Music and Me’ programme.
Amy continued:
“Our support helps local initiatives flourish, and we encourage community organisations with projects that make a real difference to apply.
“Being a responsible neighbour is at the heart of who we are, and our Community Fund reflects our ongoing commitment to building stronger, healthier, and more inclusive communities.”
Applications are being accepted until 12th December 2025. To find out more and apply, visit: belfastcityairport.com/our-community
