The Institute of Directors Northern Ireland (IoD NI) has appointed Gordon Milligan as its new Chairman. He is pictured, centre, accepting the chain of office from outgoing Chairman Ian Sheppard, at the premises of construction firm Henry Brothers, alongside David Henry, Managing Director of Henry Brothers. The 2018 Northern Ireland Best Kept Awards are officially open. Doreen Muskett MBE, President of the Northern Ireland Amenity Council, and Michelle Hatfield, Director of HR and Corporate Responsibility at title sponsor George Best Belfast City Airport, are joined by pupils from the airport’s Adopted Schools - St. Malachys Primary School and Seaview Primary School – to officially launch the search for the ‘Best Kept’ places across the country. It is the second year that the airport has sponsored the awards initiative, which aims to identify and celebrate Northern Ireland’s best looked-after towns, villages, schools, healthcare facilities, housing areas and individual community achievers, with 90 awards presented at three separate ceremonies throughout the year.
