Donnelly Group, Northern Ireland’s largest family-owned vehicle retailer, has teamed up with the Northern Ireland Hospice to donate £100 for every new and used Honda Jazz that is sold across all their Donnelly Honda showrooms between 3rd and 10th June 2019.

“We are massively proud to support a local charity that sees all funds raised used to care for adults, children and infants in Northern Ireland with life-limiting conditions. As a local family business with more than 700 employees across the province, this is a cause close to many hearts.
“We are therefore making a £100 donation to the charity for every Honda Jazz sold 3rd-10th June. Recent and ongoing studies highlight the importance of music therapy in the treatment of patients undergoing palliative care and this is just one of the wonderful services offered by the Northern Ireland Hospice which is why we decided it was the perfect charity to donate to.”
Northern Ireland Hospice is a leading provider of specialist palliative care in Northern Ireland and annually cares for over 4000 infants, children and adults.
Heather Weir, Chief Executive of Northern Ireland Hospice said:
“The total cost of running the Northern Ireland Hospice is approximately £40,000 every single day and we are enormously grateful to the Donnelly Group for the support in running this donation offer.
“There is a great synergy between the Honda Jazz model and of course music therapy, offered at both our adult hospice and children’s hospice, which can be used very effectively to help patients manage pain and the many emotions experienced throughout palliative care.
“The money donated from the Donnelly Group, through the sale of new and used Honda Jazz cars, will go towards helping us to deliver high quality, person-centred, holistic palliative care that supports the physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of our patients.”
The work of the Northern Ireland Hospice also extends to the families of patients, offering guidance and support as their loved one receives end-of-life treatment and care.

“Throughout the week, we’re delighted to welcome volunteers from Northern Ireland Hospice into our Honda showrooms, so even if customers aren’t purchasing a Jazz there are still opportunities to support. Our customers are always very generous when it comes to supporting charity activity so we will be extremely grateful for further donations on this occasion.”
