Established in late 2009, Lighthouse
Communications is a full service public relations agency that prides itself on
delivering results for its client base which bisect all sectors of the Northern
Ireland economy.
All Lighthouse consultants are Members of the
Chartered Institute of Public Relations and are seasoned public relations
professionals, many of whom have also worked extensively within the media
industry here in Northern Ireland and Great Britain.

The Team
Stephen Smith, Managing Director
Stephen established Lighthouse Communications in late 2009 and has already built an enviable client list across many sectors of the Northern Ireland economy.
Within Lighthouse, Stephen devises and implements communication and marketing strategies for his clients whilst leading a growing team of public relations consultants.
Before establishing Lighthouse, Stephen spent eight years as a Director at one of Northern Ireland's largest public relations agencies where he directed communications activity for a variety of blue chip, SME and public sector clients. These included BT, George Best Belfast City Airport, Army Recruitment, the council coalitions of waste bodies, arc21, North West Waste Management Group and NIJobs.com.
Before entering the public relations sector, he spent eight years working at the BBC in Belfast and Radio Five Live in London across the fields of news and sport.
Stephen holds a Diploma in Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising from Queen's University, Belfast and a Certificate in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Alyson English, Client Executive
Alyson has packed a remarkable amount of media, public relations and political experience into the last five years.
As well as perfecting her public relations skills in the offices of various agencies and at major events she has built up her public affairs knowledge while working in the offices of a local MP.
Alyson has also has honed her communication skills in the sports arena with a placement in the publicity office of Sky Sports in London.
A digital media whizz, she stays up to date with all developments in the world of social media and employs theses tactics to the benefit of her clients.
As an aspiring actress she has played a character in a BBC Radio education programme, provided voiceovers for television and has even appeared in a PC World television advert!
However, she is as comfortable behind the camera as in front of it and manages Lighthouse's video and broadcast based content for clients.
Alyson holds a degree in Media, Culture and Communications with Public Relations from the University of Lincoln.
